Gawker's reply is on the money. This really says a lot that CSI is giving them grief. I mean, how paranoid can you be? Do they have people monitoring the internet just so they can harass websites that make them look silly?

As if to somehow validate this entire thread, Tom Cruise's new website is now up. The opening video left me speechless.

Sympathy for the Devil is not an inappropriate musical choice.

Ah, the old "movies are escapism" route. That's not what aesthetics are about, Tom. Read Schopenhauer and Nietzsche, for a start, dude. I don't sit on bubblegum for "entertainment" for $15. I'd rather have a midget suck me off, you $cientologist, con-theory encourager. People found in hotel bath tubs after not paying Hubbard dues motherfucker. Sympathy for the Devil? Let Zeus boil you in the bag of your own bodily fluids, you Kidman-divorcing pseudo-Greek, shameless crock of poop! =D>

Pardon me, but Lauren Bacall has no business throwing stones at a 40-something major movie star who left his actress wife for a hot younger actress.

Plus, didn't she take a potshot at Nicole a few years back?

I actually agree with Bacall on the "pot shot" at Kidman. As much as I have a borderline David Thomson-esque obsession with her, she's not a legend. And I agree that no actress at Kidman's age should be really be referred to as one.

That much is true, but it all has a kind of "waving her hands, still wanting attention" kind of vibe to it.

Not really, IMO. She was asked a question, she responded and then the media reported she was bashing Nicole.

Quick question, i am tossing it in here because it is important to me, but not worth making a thread about.

What does Cameron Crowe's crew do with the sound mixing in Vanilla Sky and some of his other films.

I don't think I'm the only one who found the dialogue levels off in many areas. Also, dialogue with no mouth movement by the characters. Was the dialogue recorded in a studio after shooting? It sounds very bright and loud even in discussions taking place across a room.

Please dawn some light on this for me.

Next friday, I shall BE Michael Jackson. Got the Thriller outfit, mask, monkey. All that's missing in the Negro child. Oh yeah. :D Love Halloween.

I have no plans to read the accompanying articles, but these "Old Hollywood" photographs of Tom and Katie by Solve Sundsbo are gorgeous.

They sure are. That's the first time I've seen Cruise look like "a man".

No matter how old he gets, he still always looks like a boy to me.

Tom Cruise is keeping script doctors in Hollywood employed. Even David Cronenberg's script for The Matarese Circle is getting a once over.

I doubt he'll walk. I'm sure everyone there wants to work with him. Perhaps even he felt he didn't nail it. If another writer does a better job, what's wrong with that?

It will probably depend on how many of Cronenberg's edges Cruise's script guy rounds off. If he still thinks it will represent what he wants to do with the film, he'll do it. If not, Cronenberg is attached to a number of other projects that he'd probably feel more invested in.
