Martin is getting his own show on Comedy Central Feb. 11.
I've yet to see him do anything wrong.

Re: Important Things with Demetri Martin
My wife is in love with Demetri, so yes. It is a little hard to see her watching it, looking longingly at the TV in a way that she can never look at me, but the show has its moments. The format is a little bizarre but I think it fits his sensibilities really well. The skits where he fights over a parking space, and where he can only get angry when the camera is not shooting were quite funny.LQ wrote:Has anyone watched this?

I like it enough to watch it once a week. It's "quirky," but never really painfully so (i.e. tipping over into Wes Anderson territory). He is pretty cute, though.

The format is odd, but I like it.
Is it just me, or does he seem to be attempting to duplicate the hokey vibe of 80s shows, like "That's Incredible" with the in-studio segments? The cheap laugh track, the edits and segues...
