The projection at the Roxy has to be from DVD. The screen and the sound system at the Roxy are very good and we really hope you would not be disappointed by attending our screenings there. Also, as you realise, many of the films we release are just not satisfactorily available in any other format.
Anytime that we have screenings from 35mm prints (such as our recent THE ROUND-UP and MARKETA LAZAROVA screenings), we will always let you know that by posting here.
The first two screenings of our Roxy season have had good attendances and so we will continue with the screenings there at least to the end of 2008. They take place on the Second Monday of each month and we hope to see many of you there.

Re: Announcements from Second Run
Weird, I was just thinking about Isaac's Men of the City last night!
I managed to see this one at a Q&A with Isaacs a few months ago.
Unlike the previous Second Run set, Isaac's is largely on the move, following various characters in their daily lives in London - a advert sign holder, a rubbish collector, business exec, a broker (I believe).
The Broker and the Sign Holder's stories were most interesting for me. Isaac's began filming shortly before the recession, so we have this successful, content man discussing his job and his life, then one day while Isaacs is filming him in the office, all the share prices plummet and everything goes wrong. He naturally changes a lot from this point on! Also worth looking out for the weird self-imposed relationship he has with his children...
The Sign Holder's story plays like a neorealist film and is a pretty heartbreaking turn of fate.
The flaw with the film I found was the Bin Man, who seems to be acting the entire time. Isaacs' cross-cuts between the various people telling their story seemingly chronologically; but the Bin Man's story seems to just involve him artificially viewing the other characters, or sitting on a park bench smiling; traveling on a train etc : always looking happy, the sun shining on him. While the other characters are experiencing complex and miserable problems..
